パリの小さなレストラン、小マルギュリー亭は閉店することになった。シェフのイポリットは妻のジョゼフィーヌと共に、最後の晩餐会を準備する。招待客は、息子で作家のバルナベ、その妻マリア、それと若い仲間たち。夫妻は1960年、このレストランを始めた頃のことを回想する。客たちもまた、このレストランでの思い出を語り始める……。
